Dr. Rodney is a trusted veterinarian with over 20 years of experience caring for both traditional and exotic companion animals. A native Texan and graduate of Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine (Class of 2002), she began her career in Maryland, working for nearly a decade in a small animal and exotics practice before returning to the Houston area. Since then, she has served families in Sugar Land and Pearland with a focus on compassionate, individualized care.

Her professional interests include exotic animal medicine, sighthound health, and client education. She’s passionate about empowering pet owners with knowledge and options, and her dedication has been recognized in media features such as Animal Cops Houston(2019) for her care of rescued snakes, and ABC 13 News (2015) for helping a wild rabbit walk again using a custom wheelchair.

Dr. Rodney is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, the Association of Amphibian & Reptile Veterinarians, and the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians. She’s committed to lifelong learning for herself, her team, and her clients, and brings that spirit of curiosity and care to every patient she sees.

Outside of work, Dr. Rodney enjoys nature photography, painting, and spending time with her husband and their 4 beloved rescue greyhounds. Their home also includes Jinx, an African Grey Parrot, and Falcor, a 20-year-old gargoyle gecko.

Whether your pet has feathers, fur, or scales, Dr. Rodney offers thoughtful, thorough care and a deep commitment to the human-animal bond.
